15 Years in Scientific Translations and Technical Documentation

Since the end of 2003, I’ve been working as a freelancer in the field of scientific translations for leading scientific publishers such as Springer Spektrum and Pearson Education. On my own or in collaboration with other professionals I have translated more than a dozen mathematics and science textbooks and non-fiction books from English or French into German. Occasionally, I also translated from German into English. Additionally, I have proofread and edited several textbooks for others.

Likewise, I have typeset the vast number of the books that I translated or edited in the scientific typesetting language LaTeX. From the experiences and skills that I gained while typesetting and doing consulting and training in LaTeX, I am able to support you in typesetting your scientific works and textbooks in LaTeX as well.

Since the beginning of 2008, my range of services also includes the creation, localization and management of technical documentations. My tools include MS Word, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe FrameMaker.

I’m a member of the »Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft (DPG)« and the »Deutschsprachige Anwendervereinigung TeX e.V. (dante)«.
