Since the end of 2003, I\u2019ve been working as a sci\u00aden\u00adti\u00adfic trans\u00adla\u00adtor<\/strong><\/a> in the fiel\u00adds of sci\u00aden\u00adces, mathe\u00adma\u00adtics and com\u00adpu\u00adter sci\u00adence. Over the years, I\u2019ve exten\u00added my range of ser\u00advices by LaTeX con\u00adsul\u00adting and tea\u00adching<\/strong><\/a>, editing<\/strong><\/a> and tech\u00adni\u00adcal docu\u00admen\u00adta\u00adti\u00adon<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 1997, I ear\u00adned a Diploma (equi\u00adva\u00adlent to a Master\u2019s degree) in phy\u00adsics with a focus in theo\u00adreti\u00adcal phy\u00adsics and mathe\u00adma\u00adtics. During my stu\u00addies, I worked as a stu\u00addent assi\u00adstant for LaTeX ques\u00adti\u00adons at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig. From this expe\u00adri\u00adence, I was able to typeset the trans\u00adla\u00adted books in LaTeX from the very begin\u00adning.<\/p>\n

An important part of both my per\u00adso\u00adnal and pro\u00adfes\u00adsio\u00adnal phi\u00adlo\u00adso\u00adphy is: If I deci\u00adde to take a pro\u00adject, then I\u2019m in it with all of my heart and my soul. A few years ago, I came across a quote that sum\u00adma\u00adri\u00adzes this approach very well.<\/p>\n

The very best talent is of no use if the aut\u00adhor is unab\u00adle to sit down at the table and stay sit\u00adting there very deter\u00admi\u00adned\u00adly.<\/em> <\/span><\/p>\n
